Hawaii Tsunami - From my backyard - Best Shot Yet! - Kailua, Oahu

Awesome video of the Hawaii tsunami paying us a visit in our normally calm backyard canal. Pay close attention, you can see the wave “barrel” on the left hand side, near the concrete drain. In over 20+ years of living here, I have NEVER seen anything like this. To the average person…

lol, Dude, if you think THAT was unbelievable, you need to watch some of the real tsunami videos!
I think it is impressive… come quite a way to get there!
This is a cool video and everyone run in terror
all i can say is you have a very beautiful backyard…
@aerogirl1023 I agree, but that was a wave that could be ridden, tsunami or not.
@hawaiidoves You can’t ride tsunami waves because of the nature of the wave. If he had, the shear force and power underneath the water would have pulled him under and either hit him with some foreign object or drowned him. Just sayin’.
the crabs must’ve been trippen
Really neat!! Amazing that it traveled that far
wow, this is a pretty good video actually.. I live on the River Severn in the UK and we have this sort of thing happen naturally in Spring and Autumn (it’s called a Bore) and some times the wave can be 4 or 5 meters high. It’s one of the biggest bores in the world and is caused by a tidal surge during the season change. There are only a handful of rivers that do it
@SicSkatez i saw lot of main land students came back from hawaii. they expected too much such as im goint school in paradise im gonna surf everyday im in heaven bluh bluh bluh
That was really cool! But, wouldn’t you be a bit nervous that maybe an earthquake will happen close to Hawaii and a huge tsunami will come up that canal and wash your house away?
@LUBENICIOUS pussy
Mother Nature is beautiful and amazing, but she can be a bitch sometimes, but I still love her.
@hawaiidoves I really wish I could go back in time and surf it. It really would’ve been historical. I don’t think anyone can say that they surfed the canal before. In a way it’d be cool to be able to surf the tsunami wave, only if there were a way where it only came down the canal and didn’t affect or hurt others, then it’d be cool. I wouldn’t want a tsunami to happen just so I could say I surfed it… too many people hurt/killed/damaged. - AL?HA FOR JAPAN!
Too bad, you didn’t have a board, so you could surf that wave! It would be historical, if you could have video taped it as well. Great video!!!
wow! thats amazing!
waw
@billings1640 Also happened in December 1941…
Wow!! Isn’t that wild? To think that the energy traveled that far… From japan, right to your backyard. Amazing… Thanks for sharing!

Imagine what it might have looked like, IF YOU DIDN’T HAVE A COMPLETELY CRAPPED UP LENS!
Clean much?
@89bilefroth I hope you know a mean comment like this doesn’t make you cool or smart. he was excited about it and the fact that the tsunami traveled this far, such as mmmmmvodca said above. Get a life and pull the dick out your ass and while you’re at it brush the chip off your sholder.
